Project of the Year for New Installations

COLE is proud to be part of the Rebecca Trunk Wastewater Main Project Team, which was just awarded the Project of the Year for New Installations by Trenchless Technology.

COLE was retained by the Regional Municipality of Halton to provide preliminary and detailed design, construction administration and inspection services from Trafalgar Road and Lawson Avenue to the Oakville Southwest Wastewater Treatment Plant (SW WWTP). The project involved the design and construction of a 5.5 km wastewater trunk interceptor sewer, literally under the Town of Oakville, extending from Trafalgar Road to the Oakville SW WWTP, situated just east of Third Line. The project includes open cut construction on lower Trafalgar to facilitate twinning a 900mm pipe, microtunneling west along Randall and Rebecca Streets and aerial crossing of Sixteen Mile Creek by hanging the pipe under the bridge high overhead the creek.
