Bursting out at the seams at our previous office location, the Cole Engineering Team moved lock, stock and barrel to our new and exclusive building located on Valleywood Drive in Markham, Ontario. Extensive exterior refurbishments and integral interior renovations were completed on schedule prior to the exodus that took place in May of this year.

Our new location is a 2 storey 55,000 sq. ft office space that comfortably shelters 148 staff, with room to grow, and is equipped with loading bays and warehouse storage for our Construction and Environmental Field Services Groups.

Top 50 Employers in the GTA

Cole Engineering is pleased to be named among the Top 50 Best Employers in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area). The Toronto Star published the results in the June 19th issue, where Cole Engineering placed 40th on the list. "The 50 organizations named . . . have figured out what it takes to engage their employees and, as a result, experience lower workforce turnover and greater productivity. . . weathered the economic downturn better than many organizations. . . are recovering from the recession more quickly, according to research conducted by Hewitt Associates and Queen’s University School of Business".

Cole Engineering is pleased to be named among the Top 50 Best Small and Medium Employers in Canada for the second year in a row. The Globe and Mail published the results in the Wednesday February 10th issue, where Cole Engineering placed 38th on the list. This nation-wide study focuses on small and medium sized businesses ranging from 50 and 400 employees. The rankings are determined using the results from Employee Opinion Surveys as well as the assessment of organization practices and perspectives from the leadership team.

Gary Hatt is a licensed Professional Engineer, designated Consulting Engineer and Project Management Professional specializing in Municipal Environmental Engineering. With over 25 years experience in the consulting industry, Gary has been directly responsible for the management and design of numerous Public Works projects throughout south-central Ontario. Gary is a member of the Canadian Public Works Association, Urban Development Institute, the American Society of Civil Engineers and the American Public Works Association. He is a recipient of the Professional Engineers Ontario Engineering Medal for professional excellence and outstanding achievement demonstrated early in his career. Gary has an excellent knowledge of virtually all aspects of planning, design, construction administration and site management for municipal infrastructure projects, and has demonstrated time and again, Cole Engineering’s creed, Experience Enhancing Excellence.
