As Cole Engineering continues its growth strategy, we have reached out to the UK to recruit new blood to bring to the Canadian environmental consulting industry. 

Joining us in August is:
Mr. Matthew Eades, a Senior Engineer designated to lead Project Delivery and Mr. Andrew Moreton leading the Water Supply Infrastructure Business Unit. These two individuals, both Chartered Civil Engineers, bring an aggregate of 50 years of international water and wastewater experience, representing value not only to Cole Engineering, but to the industry and Canada in general.

Additionally, the following senior professionals have joined the company:
Mr. Ahto Asu, bringing more that 25 years of quality management experience in the water and wastewater sectors; 
Mr. Muin Hussain bringing 20+ years of research, consulting and regulatory experience in Environmental Sciences, has taken the position of Vice President of Environmental Management; and,
Mr. Bill Robinson, previously the City Engineer of Vaughan, Bill will lead our Municipal Infrastructure Multi-disciplined Business Unit begining in August as well. 

It is with great pleasure we welcome these fine gentleman to our team.

Cole Engineering's OPEN HOUSE Marks the Company's Growth, Prosperity and Client Appreciation

Cole Engineering would like to send our sincere appreciation to those who were able to join us for our Open House event on March 9th, 2011. Despite the harsh weather conditions, we are pleased to announce a full house. It was a fantastic afternoon filled with delicious food, jazz entertainment, and time shared with friends and colleagues throughout the industry.

A very special thank you to the Honourable Mr. Frank Scarpitti, Mayor of Markham; the Honourable Ms. Virginia Hackson, Mayor of East Gwillimbury; and, the Honourable Mr. Geoffrey Dawe, Mayor of Aurora. Thanks also go out to Regional Councillors Mr. John Taylor (Newmarket) and Mr. Jim Jones (Markham) and Markham Councillor Mr. Alex Chiu for taking time out of their busy schedules to join us.

Cole Engineering Adds Regulatory Compliance Services to Its Repertoire - with the expertise of Jack Chan

Cole Engineering Group has recently retained Jack Chan, B.Sc., C.CHEM., to provide environmental engineering services that enable our clients to remain in good standing with Federal, Provincial and Municipal regulatory compliance by-laws. Jack was part of the team that developed and implemented the City of Toronto’s Sewer Use By-law, Municipal Code Chapter 681 - regarded as the most current Sewer Use By-law in Canada. Areas of approvals include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Industrial Sewage Works Certificate of Approvals
  • Storm Water Certificate of Approvals
  • Overstrength Agreements
  • Air Certificate of Approvals
  • National Pollutant Release Inventory Reporting (NPRI)
  • MOE O. Regulation 127/01 Reporting
  • Pollution Prevention Plan & Compliance Agreements

Jack and his colleagues at Cole Engineering will assist clients by identify ways of reducing and/or eliminating pollutants, discharge, and emissions etc. The environmental regulatory compliance services range from preparing applications, performance test plans, modelling reports, sampling, and action reports that involve Air Quality, Noise, Waste, Audits, Cooling Towers, and Wet Flow.
